"Dreamwork demonstrates that at the core of a feeling which haunts us most, an agent of change may be found that transforms our daytime problems indirectly and profoundly, since it brings about a change in attitude and a different sense of being alive."
Robert Bosnak
Dream groups for women with breast cancer
provide access to the unconscious, the source of creative imagination.
Dreamwork allows creative imagination to enliven and heal.
Through a method of careful and empathic observation of
dreams, we can experience the transformative power of dreams.
Ann Back Price is a psychotherapist in private practice for twenty years who has studied dream work at the CG Jung Institute in Boston where she is completing her psychoanalytic training.
Dream groups are composed of the leader and three women with a current or past
history of breast cancer.
The group meets weekly for six weeks. Through guided, empathic observation of a member's dream, detail by detail, the group imaginally enters the dream. Each dream experience allows for embodied, creative connection and renewal for each member. Even unsettling nightmares are sources of creative experience.
